Fenton Smiles is conveniently located just off the US-23 Silver Lake exit in Fenton, MI. We proudly serve all patients, including children ages 1 and up, and offer a variety of services from general, to cosmetic, and restorative dentistry. Patients are given the VIP treatment when they walk into our office, and we provide a friendly and relaxing environment.
Our practice uses state of the art technology to give patients the latest procedures in the dental industry. Fenton Smiles has a newly updated office with many amenities for our patients while they wait for their appointment. Dr. Givens has years of experience in both preventative, and general dentistry, and always provides the very best care for his patients.
Practice Philosophy
Our practice strives to provide a customized dental experience that is tailored to each patient individually. We want our patients to be themselves when they walk in our office. Fenton Smiles welcomes patients to discuss questions or concerns with our doctor or staff in a judgement-free environment.
Often patients feel anxiety, or are uneasy if they need to have a dental procedure. At Fenton Smiles, we offer personalized services to give patients very detailed explanations and information. This helps to keep patients at ease, and reduce their anxiety. We want our patients to feel comfortable and relaxed when they enter our office, and know that they will receive the highest level of care from our staff. Fenton Smiles always does what is in our patient’s best interest, and our passion is to provide first-class dental care.
Our Technology
Fenton Smiles provides the latest technology to our patients. Technology allows our practice to simplify each patient’s experience, and give better end results, making each process smooth and seamless. Our practice provides technology such as 3D printing, CT Scanning, Digital Impressions, and many more.
Our team is always striving to provide the latest technology available in the dental industry. Fenton Smiles continues to expand our technology by adding new and innovative procedures, tools, and techniques to our practice. This technology gives us the ability to capture images, and create a detailed and customized treatment plan for each patient.
The environment of the office itself was very well thought out and comfortable. The entire staff is easy to talk to and very happy to answer any questions. After my cleaning I was thoroughly impressed with the amount of technology that was used to show me what exactly I could need to get worked on.

Meet Dr. Alex L. Givens, DDS
Dr. Alex Givens completed his Bachelor of Science in 2013 and Doctor of Dental Surgery Degrees from the University of Detroit-Mercy in 2015 as a member of the 7 year BS/DDS program. Since graduating, Dr. Alex has attended over 850 hours of continued education focusing on communication, complex treatment planning, cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, traditional and aligner orthodontics, and implementing technology in dentistry.
When Dr. Alex is not doing dentistry, he usually is giving back to his professional and local communities.
Dr. Alex served as a Board Member of the Michigan Dental Association Foundation where he revamped their Scholarship Program to improve the impact it had to help young fellow dental professionals.
He has been actively involved in the Frankenmuth Junior Chamber, where he was a key member to raise $1 Million and built the Frankenmuth Jaycee Spray Park. He is also involved with their World Expo of Beer project that is one of the largest beer festivals in Michigan. All proceeds from this event are donated to local charities and organizations.
Dr. Alex enjoys spending the rest of his time with his wife, Tianna, and their three children. He is an avid outdoorsman, car enthusiast, and foodie.

Jaclyn
Registered Dental Hygienist
Jaclyn Adams is a Registered Dental Hygienist with 20 years of dental hygiene experience and 28 total years working in dentistry. A 2003 graduate, Jaclyn has appeared on “Ask Dr.Nandi”, a talk show, to discuss oral hygiene. She has extensive training in periodontal disease and treatment and a passion for helping others in and out of the dental office.
She is co-director of the Miss Davison Scholarship Pageant where she mentors young ladies to become ambassadors for the city and gain life long communication and community service skills. She also volunteers for various youth sports and coaches when she can. She is a wife and mother of 3 very active kids. Jaclyn enjoys being with her family, traveling, scrapbooking and creating art for various stores she sells at.
Madi
Registered Dental Hygienist
Madi is one of our Dental Hygienists here at Fenton Smiles. She completed her training and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 2021. She also earned an Associate of Art degree in 2018. During her collegiate years, she worked as a Certified Personal Trainer at UM where she gained an understanding of the body as a whole, its plethora of functions, and how to use it to achieve overall health and wellness. Before her time with us, she worked hard to fine-tune her focus on dentistry with emphasis on overall health, finding the root cause of each patient’s needs, and aiding her patients through their treatment plans. Madi has experience and knowledge in airway management and myofunctional therapy as it relates to dentistry, and oral and overall health. Additionally, she pushes herself daily to learn more of each aspect of dentistry in all fields.

Scheduling and Financial Coordinator
Tina got into dentistry after working 20+ years in long-term and home health care, with 8 of those years in a management role. She came to us with 5 years of dental experience. She loves making patients feel like they are at home.
Her and her husband live in Swartz Creek, where they own their own construction company. They moved to MI to be with grandkids 3.5 years ago. They have 5 adult children and 7 grandchildren, four of the adult children still living in Indiana. In her free time she travels to Indiana to visit children, spends time with grandchildren, camping and Jeeping.

Hi my name is Jenny! I have been in dentistry since 2019. When I first moved to Michigan in 2019, I wanted to find a job within the dental field. Dentistry has always piqued my interest since I was a young child, so working in the dental field has been a great fit for myself. What I love about dentistry is that it’s always a growing field of technology and advancements within the industry itself. I love the advancements within dentistry, it has given patients many options to improve their smile in many different ways, straighten their smile and even whiten their teeth and so much more! Seeing patients leave happy and healthy brings me joy and it’s a big reason why I do what I do.
